We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
