And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
