And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
