We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
