THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
