Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
