Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
