Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 And there were those who said, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
