Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And there were those who said, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
