Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 He abandoned his people 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 What, would they then say: 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
