Hizb 46
< random >
So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And there were those who said, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
