Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That they would be helped, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
