Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
