Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 What, would they then say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
