Hizb 46

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 and we glorify God". 166 They used to say before: 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
