Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
