Hizb 46
< random >
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 That they would be helped, 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
