Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And there were those who said, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
