Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 can lure away from God any 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 we are the rangers, 165 and we glorify God". 166 They used to say: 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
