Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 and we glorify God". 166 They say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
