Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
