Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 and we glorify God". 166 What though they would say, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
