S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Sad. By the Quran, full of admonition! 1 In fact, the disbelievers are in false pride and opposition. 2 How many a generation We have destroyed before them, and they cried out when there was no longer time for escape! 3 And they marvel that a warner from among themselves hath come unto them, and the disbelievers say: This is a wizard, a charlatan. 4 “Has he made all the Gods into One God? This is really something very strange!” 5 And their leading chiefs said: "Remain attached to your gods. There is surely some motive behind it. 6 We have not heard of any such thing in the old religion. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 “Is the Qur’an which is sent to him, among us?” In fact they are in a doubt concerning My Book; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or do they hold the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Or is theirs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend through [any] ways of access. 10 A defeated host are (all) the factions that are there. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah, and Ad, and Pharaoh, he of the tent-pegs, 12 and [the tribe of] Thamud, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan]: they all were leagued together, [as it were, in their unbelief:] 13 Each of them who rejected the Messenger become subject to Our punishment. 14
