S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Sad. By the Koran, containing the Remembrance -- 1 Nay, those who desbelieve are in false pride and opposition. 2 How many generations before them did We destroy? In the end they cried (for mercy)- when there was no longer time for being saved! 3 And they were surprised that a Herald of Warning came to them from among themselves; and the disbelievers said, “He is a magician, a great liar!” 4 What, has he made the gods One God? This is indeed a wondrous thing' 5 Their leaders departed, saying, "Walk away! Hold fast to your deities. This is clearly a conspiracy. 6 We have not heard of any such thing in the old religion. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 “Is the Qur’an which is sent to him, among us?” In fact they are in a doubt concerning My Book; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Do they have the stores of the mercy of your Lord, the mighty and munificent? 9 Or is it that the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is theirs? If so, let them ascend up with means (to the heavens)! 10 They will be one more army vanquished among the many routed hordes. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and [the tribe of] 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes, 12 And the tribe of Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the People of the Woods; these are the groups. 13 Not one of them but belied the Messengers, therefore My Torment was justified, 14
