We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without purpose, even though this is the belief of the disbelievers. Woe to the disbelievers; they will suffer the torment of fire 27 Are We to make those who believe and do good works the same as those who corrupt the earth? Are We to make the righteous as the wicked? 28 (This is) a Book (the Quran) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember. 29 And We gave to Dawood Sulaiman, most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah). 30 When in the evening were presented to him the standing steeds, 31 he said: “Lo! I have come to love this wealth on account of the remembrance of my Lord.” And when the horses disappeared, 32 (he ordered): “Bring these horses back to me,” and then he began to gently stroke their shanks and necks. 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me; 35 So we subjugated the wind to his service which carried his merchandise wheresoever he wished; 36 And the unruly, every builder and diver (made We subservient), 37 And many others bound in bond. 38 “This is Our bestowal – you may therefore bestow favours or withhold them – you will not be questioned.” 39 In Our eyes he certainly has a high position and the best place to return. 40
