And remember thou Our bondman Ayyub, what time he cried unto his Lord: verily the Satan hath touched me with affliction and suffering. 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 "Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance. 44 Remember also Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- men of might they and of vision. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a Reminder. The righteous shall have a good place to return to: 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ And with them shall be those restraining their eyes, equals in age. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 They shall roast in (the Fire) of Gehenna, an evil cradling. 56 This is for the criminals – so that they may taste it – boiling hot water and pus. 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 And they will add: "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked, 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 Surely that is true the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire 64
