And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 (and We said to him): “Take in your hand a bundle of rushes and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” Indeed We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was. Indeed he constantly turned (to his Lord). 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them, 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them will be women limiting [their] glances and of equal age. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 All this; so let them taste it - boiling water and pus, 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 They will reply: “Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!” 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64
