And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 (We said): 'Stamp your foot on the ground, here is cool water with which to wash and a drink' 42 And We gave to him his family, and the like of them with them, as a mercy from us, and a reminder unto men possessed of minds; 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ With companions of modest look, the same in age, by their side. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 adding, "Our Lord, give double punishment to those who brought this upon us." 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
