Also, remember Our worshiper Job. He called out to his Lord, (saying): 'satan has afflicted me with harm and pain' 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to those possessed of understanding. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 They will be comfortably seated; reclining, they will call for abundant fruit and drink; 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;" 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 Did we laugh at them (for nothing), or our eyes fail to pick them out?" 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64
