And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We bestowed on him his household and along with them the like thereof, out of mercy from us, and a remembrance unto men of understanding. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding. 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 Everlasting Gardens – all its gates are open for them. 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They say, 'Our Lord, whoso forwarded this for us, give him a double chastisement in the Fire!' 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 What, did we take them for a laughing-stock? Or have our eyes swerved away from them?' 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
