(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 and, coupled with it, further [suffering] of a similar nature. 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;" 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
