And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 Remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- possessors of strength and vision. 45 for, verily, We purified them by means of a thought most pure: the remembrance of the life to come. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 They will enter gardens of Eden with their gates open for them. 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ And with them are those of modest gaze, companions. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 Our provision for you will never be exhausted. 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 all this will be theirs; let them taste it -- a scalding, dark, foul fluid, 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 The followers will say, “In fact, for you! May you not get open space! It is you who brought this calamity upon us!” So what a wretched destination. 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 Have we taken them in mockery? Or, have our eyes swerved from them?' 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
