And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 Remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- possessors of strength and vision. 45 We distinguished them for the distinct remembrance of the abode (of the Hereafter). 46 In Our eyes they were of the chosen, virtuous people. 47 And remember Ismail and Yasa’a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; and they are all excellent. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink, 51 ۞ And with them will be virgins of refraining looks and of equal age. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 This: and verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat: 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 Taste the scalding water, pus, and other putrid things". 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64
