And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 "Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking." 42 And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding. 43 (and We said to him): “Take in your hand a bundle of rushes and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” Indeed We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was. Indeed he constantly turned (to his Lord). 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 In Our eyes they were of the chosen, virtuous people. 47 And remember Ismail and Yasa’a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; and they are all excellent. 48 This is a reminder. And indeed, for the righteous is a good place of return 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 This is what they had been promised for the Day of Judgment. 53 this, verily, shall be Our provision [for you,] with no end to it! 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place. 56 Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it, 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire. 64
