Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 We said to Him, "Take a handful of twigs in your hand and strike with that but do not break your oath." We found him steadfast. What an excellent servant! He turned constantly to his Lord. 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 for, verily, We purified them by means of a thought most pure: the remembrance of the life to come. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And call to mind Ishmael and Elisha, and every one who [like them] has pledged himself [unto Us]: for, each of them was of the truly good! 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what they had been promised for the Day of Judgment. 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 This is for the criminals – so that they may taste it – boiling hot water and pus. 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 They will say: "In fact, it is you who will have no welcome. It is you who brought this upon us. What an evil place of rest!" 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 And they will add: "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked, 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
