Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 Ye are therefrom averting. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 He said, "I am better than him. You have created me from fire and him out of clay". 76 He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast, 77 My condemnation will be with you until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 Allah said: verily, thou art of those respited. 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
