Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 from which you are turning away. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 Not so lblis. He grew stiffnecked and became of the infidels. 74 God said, "Satan, what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance, or are you of those who think [only] of themselves as exalted?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 My curse will remain upon you till the Day of Judgement!" 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 He said, "By Your Honour, I will lead all of them astray, 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) “I do not ask any fee from you for the Qur’an, and I am not a fabricator.” 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
