SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!" 66 Say, "It (facts about the supremacy of God) is the greatest message, 67 yet you ignore it. 68 I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed; 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him." 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 He said: “Get out of here; surely you are accursed, 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 till the Day whose Hour I know.” 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
