Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I am purely a Herald of Warning – and there is no God except Allah, the One, the All Dominant.” 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 after I have shaped him and breathed of My spirit (I created) into him, fall down prostrate before him' 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 The Lord said, "Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you truly exalted?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 Allah said: get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art driven away. 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 I shall certainly fill Gehenna with you and every one of them that follows you' 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
