Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say: "This is a message tremendous: 67 yet you ignore it. 68 "I had no knowledge of the chiefs (angels) on high when they were disputing and discussing (about the creation of Adam). 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 The angels fell down prostrate, every one, 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 Said He: "Go forth, then, from this [angelic state] - for, behold, thou art henceforth accursed, 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 Save Thy bondmen among them Sincere. 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 That I will fill Hell with you [Iblis (Satan)] and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together." 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 "It (this Quran) is only a Reminder for all the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 87 and you shall surely know its tiding after a while.' 88
