SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: "That (this Quran) is a great news, 67 from which you are turning away.” 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 When your Lord said to the angels: “Verily I am creating a human being from clay. 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 [Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?" 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 Allah said: get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art driven away. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 He said: The Truth is, and the Truth I speak, 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 "This is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds. 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
