SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: "This is a message tremendous: 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 After I have created him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down, prostrating yourselves to him.” 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 He said, “Therefore exit from heaven, for you have been outcast.” (To disrespect the Prophets peace and blessings be upon them is blasphemy.) 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 Satan said: “My Lord, then grant me respite till the Day that they are raised up.” 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof. 88
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
