Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all): 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 “You are neglectful of it!” 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate, 72 all the angel then prostrated themselves 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast, 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 and you shall surely know its tiding after a while.' 88
