SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: "This is a message tremendous: 67 From which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 (Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Truly, I am going to create man from clay". 71 When I have shaped him, and breathed My spirit in him, fall you down, bowing before him!' 72 The angels prostrated themselves, all of them. 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said He, 'Iblis, what prevented thee to bow thyself before that I created with My own hands? Hast thou waxed proud, or art thou of the lofty ones?' 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 My curse will remain upon you till the Day of Judgement!" 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 till the Day whose Hour I know.” 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 He said: The truth then is and the truth do I speak: 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
