Say: "O ye my servants who believe! Fear your Lord, good is (the reward) for those who do good in this world. Spacious is Allah's earth! those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure!" 10 Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am bidden to serve Allah, consecrating my devotion to Him, 11 and I am bidden to be foremost among those who surrender themselves unto God." 12 Say: "Behold, I would dread, were I to rebel against my Sustainer, the suffering [which would befall me] on that awesome Day [of Judgment]." 13 Say thou: it is Allah I worship, making for Him my religion exclusive 14 "Serve ye what ye will besides him." Say: "Truly, those in loss are those who lose their own souls and their People on the Day of Judgment: Ah! that is indeed the (real and) evident Loss! 15 Above and below them their will be shadows of fire. This is how God frightens His servants. My servants have fear of Me. 16 There is good news for those who shun the worship of false deities and turn to God, so give good news to My servants, 17 Who listen to speech and follow the best of it. Those are the ones Allah has guided, and those are people of understanding. 18 On the other hand, could one on whom [God's] sentence of suffering has been passed [be rescued by man]? Couldst thou, perchance, save one who is [already, as it were,] in the fire? 19 But for those who truly feared their Lord, there will be tall mansions, built up storey upon storey, beneath which there will be rivers flowing. This is God's promise: God never fails in His promise. 20 Beholdest thou not that Allah sendeth down water from the heaven, and causeth it to enter springs in the earth, and thereafter produceth thereby corn various coloured. Thereafter it wirhereth, and thou beholdest it turn yellow; then He maketh it chaff. Verily herein is an admonition for men of understanding. 21
