Al-Zumer 6 of 8

۞ Say: O my servants! who have acted extravagantly against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; surely Allah forgives the faults altogether; surely He is the Forgiving the Merciful. 53 Turn to your Lord and surrender yourselves to Him before the chastisement over-takes you; for then you will receive no help. 54 “And follow this, the best among all, which has been sent down towards you from your Lord, before the punishment comes suddenly upon you whilst you are unaware.” 55 Lest a soul should say: "Alas, I was heedless of God and only laughed;" 56 Or say: "If only God had guided me I would have been a man of fear and piety;" 57 Or, lest when it sees the punishment should say: 'O that I might return, and be among those that did good' 58 Yes indeed! But My Signs came to you and you rejected them as lies, and waxed arrogant and were among those who disbelieved. 59 On the Day of Judgment you will see the faces of those who had invented falsehood against God blackened. Is not hell the dwelling of the arrogant ones? 60 But God will deliver them who feared Him to their place of salvation. No evil shall touch them, nor shall they grieve. 61 Allah is Creator of all things, and He is Guardian over all things. 62 To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. Those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah they are the losers. 63
