Did you not see those who dispute concerning Allah's Signs? Whence are they, then, being turned astray? 69 Those who deny the Book and what We have sent down with Our apostles, will soon come to know 70 When the fetters and the chains shall be on their necks; they shall be dragged 71 In boiling water; then in the Fire they will be filled [with flame]. 72 Then it will be said to them: "Where are (all) those whom you used to join in worship as partners 73 Besides Allah? They shall say: They are gone away from us, nay, we used not to call upon anything before. Thus does Allah confound the unbelievers. 74 "That was because ye were wont to rejoice on the earth in things other than the Truth, and that ye were wont to be insolent. 75 So enter the gates of Hell to abide in it for ever." How evil the abode of the arrogant! 76 So be patient, [O Muhammad]; indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them or We take you in death, it is to Us they will be returned. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
