Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 A Revelation from (Allah), Most Gracious, Most Merciful;- 2 A Scripture whereof the verses are expounded, a Lecture in Arabic for people who have knowledge, 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 They say: “Our hearts are securely wrapped up against what you call us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between you and us there is a veil. So act; we too are acting.” 5 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I am only a human being like you. It is inspired in me that your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God - Allah), therefore take Straight Path to Him (with true Faith Islamic Monotheism) and obedience to Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe to Al-Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc. - see V. 2:105). 6 Who give not the poor-rate; and they! in the Hereafter, they are disbelievers. 7 Truly, those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism, and in His Messenger Muhammad SAW) and do righteous good deeds, for them will be an endless reward that will never stop (i.e. Paradise). 8
