Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 A revelation from [God], the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful -- 2 A Book of which the verses are made plain, an Arabic Quran for a people who know: 3 Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are encased against that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us, so do as you will and so shall we." 5 Say, O [Muhammad], "I am only a man like you to whom it has been revealed that your god is but one God; so take a straight course to Him and seek His forgiveness." And woe to those who associate others with Allah - 6 who do not pay the zakat, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 The righteously striving believers will have a never-ending reward". 8
