Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 THE BESTOWAL from on high [of this revelation] issues from the Most Gracious, the Dispenser of Grace: 2 A Scripture whereof the verses are expounded, a Lecture in Arabic for people who have knowledge, 3 proclaiming good news and a warning. Yet most of them turn away and so do not listen. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working." 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 Those who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter. 7 (As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have a reward never to be cut off. 8
